What is Patapesa?

Patapesa is a feature on the mTek Services App that allows you to earn from purchasing insurance covers on your account in the app for other individuals.

What are the requirements for me to sign up?

All you need is your KRA PIN and e-signature once you have read through the terms and conditions.

Can I freely sign up for Patapesa?

Yes you can. It is a costless process. All you have to do is click on the Patapesa icon on the homepage of the app and follow the steps given.

What percentage is the commission?

The commission is 3% of the premium your client has paid for the insurance product of choice within the app.

Can I get the 3% commission for a product that is not on the app?

No you cannot. Commissions are solely for insurance products that have been bought through the app.

Does the money go immediately to my Patapesa wallet?

Yes it does. As soon as the payment for the cover is done, you will get a notification on the app  informing you of your earned commission.

Can I withdraw money from my Patapesa wallet any time?

Yes you can as long as the amount on your wallet is Ksh.200. Just click on cashout and follow the steps given.

Can I earn from recommending someone to download the app?

No. You can only earn if you make a  purchase for someone through the app.
