About the role

As a Finance Assistant, you will assist with various financial tasks and administrative duties. The ideal candidate should be meticulous, organized, and capable of handling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts receivable and payable: managing invoices, payments, and receipts from clients (accounts receivable) and to vendors and suppliers (accounts payable).
  • Financial record-keeping: maintaining accurate financial records and documentation. Recording and reconciling transactions in accounting software or spreadsheets.
  • Assisting with financial reporting: supporting the preparation of financial statements and reports. Providing data for financial decision-making.
  • Administrative support: providing administrative support to the finance team as needed. Assisting with tasks such as filing, organizing documents, and responding to financial inquiries.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is typically required.
  • Basic understanding of and exposure to financial reporting procedures
  • Numerical skills: strong ability to work with numbers and perform basic calculations.
  • Attention to detail: meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in records and transactions.
  • Communication skills: good verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational skills: good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • IT skills: proficiency in using accounting software especially Excel.
